Jill is one of country’s foremost experts on restaurant, food & beverage and hospitality PR. For more than 20 years, she has worked with the crème-de-la-crème of chefs, business owners and entrepreneurs in the F&B space nationwide to help realize their vision. From Three Star Michelin Chef Guy Savoy to the currently red-hot Michael Fiorelli of Love & Salt in Santa Monica, Jill is known for her strategic approach to branding and her knack for becoming an integral part of her clients’ development teams. At JS2, Jill is responsible for new business development, client branding/strategy and professional development.
Jill began her career in public relations as the corporate publicist for Frieda’s, the nation’s leading marketer and distributor of specialty produce and complementary items. After launching her own company, Sandin Communications, in 1992, she joined her current business partner, Jeff Smith, in 1995 and helped build the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices of NY-based PR firm Kratz & Company which was sold in 2000. During those five years, Jill leant her considerable expertise to brands such as California Pizza Kitchen, Einstein Bros./Noah’s Bagels, Il Fornaio, Jamba Juice, Starbucks Coffee, and Whole Foods Market.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University and a Masters of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is married to noted wine expert Chris Sandin and has two children, Samuel and Ella. Jill also serves on Careers Through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) Council Los Angeles. She speaks French, loves traveling, hiking, good food, cooking, fine wine and all things Italian.

Fresh Parma prosciutto with sweet Tuscan melon, with a glass of Müller Thurgau, slow cooked lamb and porcini ragu with fresh pappardelle and a bottle of Giacomo Bologna Barbera, a hunk of nutty Parmesan and affogato for dessert, followed by a short espresso. Amen!
