The Opportunity

Founded in 1985 by “Ramen King” Chef Shigemi Kawahara in Fukuoka, Japan, Ippudo has grown from humble beginnings into a global sensation, with 287 locations across 15 countries.

In April 2025, JS2 PR led the opening press strategy and launch events for Ippudo’s second LA location in Culver City, and maintained the momentum by supporting the May debut of the brand’s vegan concept, ippudo V, in West Hollywood.

Our Work

JS2 secured a spotlight feature on Eater LA announcing the Culver City opening, and a VegOut article on the vegan concept in West Hollywood. JS2 also produced two guest-packed launch events with entertainment, menu sampling, and photo opps. These brought together key media and influencers to drive awareness and generate organic social buzz.

The Results

High-impact media visits and coverage reinforced Ippudo’s must-visit destination status within the LA dining scene. Both launch events earned meaningful results, with influencer and press attendance generating strong visibility and UGC content. Collectively, these outcomes boosted awareness for both the Culver City opening and West Hollywood refresh.
