The Opportunity

Regarding Her is a non-profit organization with a mission to accelerate the growth of women entrepreneurs and leaders in food and beverage.

While the organization was initially founded as a crisis response to the COVID-19 lockdown and its immediate impact on the restaurant industry, Regarding Her has evolved as an incubator, mentorship, and promotional channel for women and non-binary owners and leaders. Founders include celebrity chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Bricia Lopez, and acclaimed restaurateurs like Dina Samson and Lien Ta. Over the years, JS2 PR has supported this evolving organization by amplifying grant programs, and supporting press outreach for marquee events. We also spearhead the media relations and marketing campaign for the annual Regarding Her Women’s History Month Festival in March, which drives business to women-owned food businesses in the Los Angeles area.

Our Work

The JS2 team created media relations campaigns that positioned Regarding Her as a charity of choice for high-profile events in search of a diverse and inclusive partner. We secured coverage for events with Veuve Clicquot and the Frieze Art Fair, an AAPI all-star guest chef dinner at Crustacean Beverly Hills, a Biite Club Seafood Boil with James Beard Award nominee Bridgetown Roti, and others. Our team also curated eye-catching events and managed all communications channels including media relations, email newsletters, and social media for 2023 and 2024 Women’s History Month Festivals. JS2 has continued to manage the organization’s media relations through 2026.

The Results

In addition to securing ongoing PR, including feature placements in the Los Angeles Times and regular appearances on KTLA, CBS, KCRW, and other broadcast outlets, JS2’s support has enabled Regardign Her to secure marquee sponsors for ongoing programs, including OpenTable, DoorDash, ChowNow, Resy, Maker’s Mark, and Vallarta.
